Containing undoubtedly one of the most beloved stories of the 20th century, L.Frank Baum's novel and the movie that succeeded it have left an indelible mark on popular culture as we know it. Now Kansas City Ballet, in collaboration with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and the Colorado Ballet present a brand new large-scale ballet adaptation of the story, featuring the dream team behind the company's glorious Alice In Wonderland to lend a little bit of spectacle to Dorothy's unusual journey to the Emerald City.
Choreography comes from Septime Webre, with music from Matthew Pierce and dazzling costumes from Cirque Du Soliel's Liz Vandal. One to be enjoyed by all ages, the Wizard of Oz is a classic story of finding friends, battling witches and discovering the power within yourself.

Whilst living on a farm in Kansas with Aunt Em and Uncle Henry, Dorothy and her trusty dog Toto are swept up by a huge tornado that lands them into the technicolor land of Oz, into the magical Munchkinland, ruled by the beautiful Glinda the Good Witch. Wanting nothing more than to go home, Glinda bestows Dorothy with some spectacular ruby red slippers and sends her on her way to explore the wonderful world of Oz!
