Why See Lyric Opera Of Kansas City - Rigoletto?
Giuseppe Verdi's Rigoletto
Lyric Opera of Kansas City is proud to perform Giuseppe Verdi's strikingly beautiful, yet deeply tragic, Rigoletto. Conducting the piece will be David Charles, with direction from David Gately.
Rigoletto is a court jester, who is trying to protect his daughter from the Duke! The Duke is a powerful man, and is dead-set certain on defiling Rigoletto's daughter. This story of revenge will bring out all emotions in you, and will also take you by surprise. With radiant melodies, be sure to listen out for some of the most recognisable arias in opera.
Located in the heart of Kansas City, Lyric Opera was founded in 1958, and since then, had brought high quality live operatic performances to the people of Kansas City.
