Kansas City Symphony - Handel's Messiah

Kansas City Symphony - Handel's Messiah at Helzberg Hall

Why see Kansas City Symphony - Handel's Messiah?

A festive symphony tradition at Helzberg Hall

This December, the Kansas Symphony Orchestra brings Handel's sensational oratorio to Helzberg Hall, with over 200 musicians, singers and special guests bringing Messiah to life. The rousing piece with its powerful hallelujah chorus is one of the most iconic works of classical music and a must-see in this fantastic setting.

The piece was first performed in 1742 in Dublin and has since become a firm favorite among classical music lovers. The piece is an oratorio, which is a musical work similar to an opera but performed utilizing the vocals of both soloists as well as a choir, and often without the same narrative structure as an opera.
